चैत्र नवरात्री Chaitra Navratri

-Rohit Kumar Parmar [2]

चैत्र नवरात्री Chaitra Navratri starts on the first day (Pratipada Tithi) of Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the Moon), of Chaitra Mas (corresponding to March-April of the Gregorian calendar). In 2025, Chaitra Navaratri is celebrated from March 30 to April 07, 2025.

The auspicious nine-day festival of Chaitra Navratri worships and celebrates Goddess Durga in her different birth, or form, [3] starting March 30, 2025 and ending with Ram Navami on the April 7, 2025.

There are four Navratris during the year, two of which are widely celebrated - the Chaitra (spring) Navratri and Shardiya (autumn) Navratri. The other two are Ashada and Magha Gupt Navratri.

While Chaitra Navratri ends with Ram Navami, Shardiya Navratri ends with Dussehra.

Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped for nine days.

These are festive times and in addition to Navratri, there are other festivals.
